University Transfer Services for OCC Students
OCC transfer statistics
Orange Coast College has one of the highest transfer rates to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) campuses: each year, nearly 2,000 students from OCC transfer to schools in the UC and CSU systems.*
OCC students transfer to campuses throughout California and the US. The top 5 campuses for transfers are:
- California State University, Fullerton (CSUF)
- California State University, Long Beach (CSULB)
- University of California, Irvine (UCI)
- University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
- University of Southern California (USC)
Students also transfer to universities in other states, including Arizona, Oregon, Illinois, and New York. Some OCC graduates also attend Ivy League schools such as Columbia University, Harvard University, Cornell, Brown, Yale, Georgetown, and Princeton.

UC and CSU transfer agreements
For students who want to transfer to a UC or CSU, the OCC Transfer Center provides information on transfer agreements. Students can learn the details of Transfer Agreement Guarantees (TAGs) to UC schools (and how to gain guaranteed admission to a CSU through an Associate Transfer degree).
Out-of-state and private university transfers
In addition to agreements with UC and CSU campuses, OCC has transfer agreements with out-of-state universities. The OCC Transfer Center provides information on how to obtain transfer agreements to these campuses.

Some students know exactly where they would like to study after Orange Coast College, while others want to explore all of their options. Visit some of the many campuses students transfer to after OCC! The Transfer Center organizes university campus tours to many area colleges and universities. Thanks to Orange Coast College’s location in Southern California, some of the best universities are a short drive away.
